How much rainy weather in Washington State?

When i am older, I really want to live somewhere where it rains, or is atleast cold a whole lot of the time (80-90% of the year) The only state i could think of was washington… which cities are the wettest?

You would probably want to live in the Olympic Peninsula. However, the rainiest place in the continental U.S. is Forks, Washington. I bet you are a Twilight fan? Me too.

no the rainiest place in the U.S. is Mount Waialeale on the Hawaiian island of Kauai

the rainiest place in the continental u.s. is the foothill villages near Mount Washington, N.H.

kellylizzz :).

Forks.
Just like twilight says, they are the gloomiest i guess. And most rainy.

The foothills of the Cascade mountains get pretty cold in the winter, but hot in the summer.
Washington is complicated, the summers are beautiful and sunny, and the winters are cold and rainy/snowy. I’d suggest snohomish county just because it is usually a bit cooler than seattle and other cities because of how close to the water most of it is.

PS- Forks is not even close to the rainiest state in the US. The rainiest state is somewhere around Florida because of their hurricanes and such. Forks is pretty freaking cloudy though.

Western Washington doesn’t get more total rainfall then most other places. But it gets more rainy days. Other parts of the country get 2 days of hard rain, then 38 days of sun. Western Washington gets 35 days of light drizzle and 5 days of overcast.

So for the most part there is just a lot of clouds and light rain. But we do get warm weather in the summers, just not hot weather.

If you are looking for the wettest areas, that would be in the Olympic peninsula. They have actual rain forests there.
